You Won’t Find Me

Wherever people stand in line to buy chemically concocted food / that poisons our waters, and our children, and our neighbors / and no one is effectively sued

You won’t find me / You won’t find me there / You won’t find me / You won’t find me there

Wherever they sell what’s made overseas / by those strapped to factory lines / without strong standards to ensure fair labor / just so you and I can save a dime

You won’t find me . . .

Wherever they sell us gifts and food / under layers of eternal plastic / that can’t be recycled, and can only be discarded / and we pretend that this is fantastic

Won’t find me . . .

Wherever we stand and wait for planes / dumping carbon into our sky / Remember, today’s travel can harm tomorrow’s children / It’s not okay to frequently fly

You won’t find me . . .

You won’t find me / You won’t find me there / You won’t find me / You won’t find me there / You won’t find me there / You won’t find me there
